Why Aalborg University?
Inaugurated in 1974, Aalborg University has close to 14,000 students ranging from students at preparatory courses through doctoral-level candidates. Of these, 12,5% are international students, coming from different countries around the world. Teaching and research are conducted at the highest level in engineering, the natural and social sciences, and the humanities.
The study form differs from that of most other universities. The focus is problem-based learning, and the main part of the study consists of working on projects in student groups of approximately 3-6 members. This is obvious at the first sight of the University - the campus is dominated by the numerous group rooms for students.

In addition to the project-oriented teaching, a number of courses are given each semester. For the international Master’s in Machine Intelligence (MI), Data Engineering (DE), Embedded Software Engineering (ESE) and Software Development (SD), the courses are either given in English, or separate instruction in English is offered.
Each semester has its own theme for projects and the courses that support the projects. The projects in the Master's programme are often carried out in close cooperation with research activities at the university.
