i am currently living in Denmark, and an Assistant Professor at Aalborg University, where i am also participating in research collaboration with the HCI group of the Department of Computer Science. i moved in 2006 from the University of Melbourne, Australia, where i completed my PhD "Indexing to Situated Interactions" in February 2006 my supervisors for my PhD research were Associate Professor Steve Howard from the Interaction Design group of Information Systems and Associate Professor Bharat Dave from Architecture. my thesis investigated human computer interaction design for ubiquious computing to support sociality in cities by augmenting the city. i developed new methods for understanding and modelling social and physical context of urban environments, useful for designing pervasive computing that delivers context aware and indexical information to people interacting socially while out on the town my education includes: a Bachelors degree in Architectural Studies from the Architecture Faculty of the University of Adelaide, Australia; a Graduate Diploma in Applied Computing from the School of Computing at the University of Tasmania, Australia; a Masters degree in Computing from the School of Computing at the University of Tasmania, Australia; and a PhD from the University of Melbourne Australia as a cross-discipline thesis between the Department of Information Systems and the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning
