Research, Areas of Interest
I work in the Center for
Data-intensive Systems (DAISY). My area of
research covers indexing and query porcessing of temporal,
spatial, and spatiotemporal data. An interesting
example of spatiotemporal data is continuously moving objects in
wireless information management systems. Location-based
services is one of the key application areas where efficient
management of continuously moving objects is essential. Here you
can find a short description of my Ph.D. thesis, which I defended
in September 2001. I am also interested in various other
database related topics, algorithms, and object-oriented
technologies.
