DESCRIBE YOUR AREA AND RESEARCH INTEREST:
- My research interests include machine learning, deep learning, data science and computer vision. In my past work, I have focused on deep latent models and probabilistic inference in particulars.
I have also investigated some specific tasks, such as indoor positioning, multi-task learning and adversarial attack.
WHICH CURRENT PROJECTS ARE YOU GOING TO WORK ON?
- Currently, I am working on two interdisciplinary projects. One aims to use the GPS data collected from the buses to evaluate the drivers' performance and predict the bus arrival time. The other is to leverage the sensor data to control the ponds in the urban areas.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO CONTINUE YOUR CAREER AT AALBORG UNIVERSITY?
- Aalborg University is a very good university, and the research topics in my group align with my research background very well. The researchers are excellent in their areas so that I can discuss the problems I encounter in my work. Finally, through working at Aalborg University, I think I can improve my professional skills and achieve more in my research field.
ANY FUN FACTS YOU?
- I can speak three languages, Chinese, English and French. Apart from research, I am very interested in (both eastern and western) literature, art and history as well.
