Technical project employee

At the Department of Computer Science, Aalborg University a vacancy as a full time technical project employee is available from November 15, 2019 or soon after. The position is open for a period of 4 years.

The successful candidate will have to perform project work 

The DEIS Tool Coordinator (DTC) will be responsible for ensuring and improving the quality of the software tools which the DEIS unit develops through research. By ensuring reliability of the DEIS-tools, the DTC facilitates greater adoption of the tools from both industry and academia alike with the purpose of increasing the visibility and impact of the DEIS group.

It is therefore important that the DCT does Quality Assurance in accordance with industry practices of the code and features considered part of "stable" tools.

Hence, it falls within the responsibility of the DTC to (via the available resources) facilitate continuous stable releases of the tools developed within the DEIS research group, including the UPPAAL tool suite, TAPAAL and CAAL.  Specifically the responsibilities of the DTC will include:

  • project management
  • roadmaps and milestones
  • development coordination (student programmers and researchers)
  • release management
  • testing
  • community support
  • bug management
  • ensure availability of documentation  (internal and external)
  • distribution platforms (and licensing techniques).

The position requires familiarity with C++, Java and web-programming. The candidate should have experience with software development tools, like version control, bug tracking, testing frameworks, project planning and should be able to provide friendly and constructive advice.

Løn og ansættelsesvilkår

Employment and salary are in accordance with the agreement for state-employed academic. It is possible to negotiate qualification-based supplements.

There is a mutual three-month trial period with the position.
