Course Description

Programming intelligent/multiagent systems is rapidly turning into a new disciple of its own due to the successful research and application on agent technology over the past decade. Agent programming is the key element of agent-oriented software engineering, which enhances the ability of traditional software development practice. Agent programming is important primarily because it has been found to have very general principles and methodologies supporting various realization of agents based systems. This course will begin by introducing the student to the concept and architecture of agents, and will lead them to an understanding of agent-oriented programming.
