Please meet Victor Vadmand Jensen, new Research Assistant in the HCC group as of August 1.

In June 2023, Victor Vadmand Jensen successfully completed the Master of Science program in Digitalization and Application Development from this department. His thesis, under the guidance of Nicolai Brodersen Hansen, focused on the creation of a hybrid digital board game aimed at promoting contemplation about future energy communities.

Additionally, Victor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Techno-Anthropology, which he earned in 2021. For his undergraduate thesis, he explored the digitalization of vaccination services during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Research area and focus

- My research generally focuses on emerging technologies, and how they might change the way we live. I use a socio-technical view to understand how technologies become embedded in the complex everyday lives we all lead. Furthermore, I consider responsible and ethical technological development paramount, and my research often centers around how we ensure that we develop technologies in an appropriate way. This is often connected to artificial intelligence and similar, where I am interested in the responsible and ethical implementation of such systems.

Projects you are involved in?

- I am working together with Adam Alami, Anders Rysholt Bruun, and John Stouby Persson on a project funded by DigitalLead. Here, we are collaborating with several companies to understand how artificial intelligence tools can support the work and collaborations of software developers and UX designers.

Why did you choose to continue your career at AAU?

- I have worked at AAU for many years now, having been a student assistant at Aalborg University Library, the Department of Computer Science, and the Department of Planning. I enjoy the collaborative and open atmosphere at AAU. I was approached for a research project which aligns well with my existing interests in human-centered technologies, and I felt that the Human-Centered Computing research group was a place where I could grow, both professionally and personally!
