Students and staff show the way to a greener university

: 21.05.2025

Phasing out disposable cups, repair café, recycled furniture, solar cells on roofs, better utilization of empty premises, and reducing the number of flights between Copenhagen and Aalborg. This is just a small selection of the green initiatives that students and staff on the Copenhagen campus offered at Climate Action Day 2025.

Wide circle of initiators

This was the first time that AAU participated with an event for Climate Action Day where students and staff could meet for a talk about a greener campus, a cooking workshop and presentations by FORCE Technology, Stella Energy, Metroselskabet, Bylandbruget Baggaarden, Burkert Danmark A/S, and others.

The initiators of AAU's event were PLAN, BUILD, IKL and the Central Administration in collaboration with Sydhavn Recycling Center.
